Mount Claremont Primary School...
At Mount Claremont Primary School we pride ourselves on our commitment to education, the environment and a healthy, active lifestyle for our students.
Our school motto is “We Care” and that is truly one of the benefits of our school.There is a tremendous amount of support and encouragement for each and every student, from Kindergarten through to Year 7.
In 2007 we celebrated our 90th anniversary and in our 90 year history we have come a long way. You just need to look behind the doors of the classrooms to see that they are filled with the latest technology and resources, such as interactive white boards, computer hubs, extensive reading resources, and new audio equipment. In addition to this, we have extensive gardens for our children to learn and play in, fantastic playgrounds for the students to enjoy and a recently constructed Frog Bog for environmental studies.
We take great pride in our art program which sparks wild creativity and vibrant imagination in the students. Our art teacher has recently completed murals for the junior cluster walls with the assistance of the students.
Aside from our curriculum based sports program, we encourage and support an active healthy lifestyle for our students through a variety of other initiatives including Minkey, Skipping Club, dance classes, Netball, Basketball and BluEarth.
Social activities abound with events throughout the year including sundowners, discos and dance recitals – enjoyed equally by students and parents!
You may have already come to our school grounds on a Saturday morning to enjoy our Farmers' Market. This has created a vibrant community atmosphere, and proceeds have helped to resource the school with the latest equipment and facilities, and to assist various charities.
